Korean Animation Revisited

Hungbu & Nolbu

Kang Tea-Ung

Korea1967 67min

Synopsis

Produced before KONGUI PATCHUI, this film relatively lacks the sophistication that the former presents, however its contribution in recreating this famous Korean classic especially with the use of Pansori(Korea opera) is quit noteworthy. The inconsistency of the character’s movements works against the flow of the film but its contribution as the first Korea puppet animation film cannot be undermined.
