Synopsis

An old man continues to perform his unpopular third-class magic show with his son. The theater owner says, “Give your son a chance because he has talent.” Even the empty seats seem to want him to retire, so he prepares the best magic show of his life.

Program Note

This film makes you wonder about the story outside the frame. How did a magician named Eustache get the watch with his magic secrets? How does the employee at the ticket counter know about Eustache’s secrets? A lot of these questions lead us naturally to the heart of Eustache, who loves his son more than anything. The performance of Luc Proulx playing Eustache is deep as are his furrows. You will enjoy both a small mystery and a touching drama over a magic show. (HWANG Hye-min)

The director Frédérick Neegan Trudel, is a Wendat from a cultured indigenous tribe of North America the director. After embarking on a three-year journey around the world, he worked for several years in the special effects and 3D animation industry. He is curious and on the lookout for innovative ways and new challenges to tell his stories.
