Florian V. Bornstadt was born in Itzehoe, Germany. After his graduation, he stated a trainee at a local TV channel in Hanover. In this time, he wrote the script for his first short film, Little Red Riding Hood: A Tale of Blood and Death, which he was directing together with Martin Czaja.
